The first picture below is of the guest bathroom. There is no linen closet in the house, but this bathroom has lots of cabinetry for towels, toilet paper rolls, cleaners, etc.

However, these large cabinets make the bathroom look small.

Assuming I can re-face these and put new hardware on them and make them all look nice, would you keep the two wall cabinets? Would you keep one of them and if so, which one?

The next two pictures are of the kitchen, which has a ton of cabinetry. I’m thinking of removing the cabinets near the dining room (blocking the view) above the breakfast bar. I think this would open up the space. However, people love more cabinets in kitchens.

What do you think? Lose the ceiling cabinets and open up the space, or keep as many cabinets as possible?
